What’s inside?
The ingredients are : ripe avocado, raw cacao powder, vanilla powder, dates, maple syrup and vegetal milk.
Who knew avocado is for dessert too?
How is this mousse healthier than a regular homemade mousse au chocolat?
Avocado brings to your diet wonderful anti-inflammatory fats while raw cacao is packed with antioxidants. Finally, dates are a good fiber addition.
Life is so generous, thank you earth for what you have to offer!
So do you have room for this vegan chocolate mousse? Of course, you do.
Top Tip about raw cacao
Raw cacao is somewhat different from the common “cocoa”. Normal cocoa powder and chocolate are often chemically processed and roasted. So it destroys a large amount of the antioxidants and flavanols. In other words, it destroys the things that keep you young and healthy.
Raw Cacao in contrast has a lot more benefits. It seems to have 40 times the antioxidants of blueberries. And antioxidants helps to absorb the free radicals. On top of it, it is full of iron and magnesium. Furthermore it contains a lot of calcium too.
When you mix raw cacao with avocado and maple syrup, it tastes like chocolate.
Healthy vegan chocolate mousse and…
Smooth, creamy, sweet, tasty and full of benefits !

VEGAN CHOCOLATE MOUSSE
INGREDIENTS
- 2 ripe avocados, stoned and peeled
- 3 tbsp raw cacao powder
- 1 tsp vanilla powder
- 3 dates, pitted and soaked in water
- 1/4 cup vegetal milk - (I use rice or macadamia milk, but any other non dairy milk will work)
- 2 tbsp maple syrup
INSTRUCTIONS
- Soak the dates in hot water for about 5 minutes to make them moist and easy to blend. Then, remove the dates (and save the water for a smoothie).
- Simply put all ingredients in a food processor or a blender (if possible a small or medium container) and mix until smooth. If you use a big blender perhaps you will need to stop a few times, scrap off the sides and blend again.
- Fill in small glasses or cups with the delicious mousse and chill them in the fridge for at least 1h.
- Sprinkle them with some raw cacao nibs, roasted coconut flakes or a big batch of lovely raspberries, before serving.
