Another great way to improve your amino acid intake is by making some homemade hemp milk. Impossible to make a recipe easier, and with 3 ingredients only.
Plus, it’s a dairy milk alternative rich in high-quality plant protein. Speaking of protein, this vegetal milk is powerhouse milk, basically made of water, hemp seeds (hulled), 1 date (only), and a pinch of vanilla powder.
For this milk, I don’t use any nut milk bag. Once I blend all the ingredients together, it is ready to drink.
This plant-based milk is really creamy and delicious.
What about berry milk?
I know some people don’t like the taste of hemp itself, but in this recipe, you have only 3 tablespoons of hemp seeds with vanilla and date, so it’s very sweet and tasty.
You can always make a berry-milk with this recipe and add 1/4 cup of strawberries, fresh or frozen and blend again. The taste will be fresh and strawberry-like.
How to use it?
I use it for my matcha latte or in my smoothie or smoothie bowl.

Top Tip
Hempseed is a SUPERFOOD with a nutty flavor, already cultivated thousands of years ago (and it is often confused with the marijuana plant as they are of the same family) but it’s not!
You can find flour hemp, un-hulled hemp seeds (they are hard and work for salads) and finally hulled hemp seeds that I use for this milk recipe.
Hemp seeds include all amino acids and are a high protein source (so important for vegetarian and vegan diets). It has a perfect ratio of omega 3 and 6 fatty acids.
I really love to add hulled hemp seeds to my morning bowl. But I am careful while using them, as hemp seeds may have a strong taste and it doesn’t work for all types of recipes (especially while using hemp flour or hemp butter).

EASY HEMP MILK
INGREDIENTS
- 3 tbsp hemp seeds (hulled)
- 500 ml water
- 1 Medjool date or 2 tbsp maple syrup
- 1 pinch of vanilla powder
INSTRUCTIONS
- Place hemp seeds into a high speed blender with fresh water (500 ml).
- Add one date or 2 tbsp of maple syrup and a pinch of vanilla powder to the blender with hemp seeds and water.
- Blend for about 40-50 seconds and enjoy this delicious dairy free milk.
